A multi-month investigation by the Directorate for Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking, specifically the Central Sector for Narcotics Investigation in Pristina, culminated today in Operation “Driver.” This police action resulted in the arrest of five suspected individuals and the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics and other relevant evidence.
Raid Details and Seizures
The operation, conducted on June 25, involved raids at three locations: the village of Dumosh, the city of Podujeva, and a location in Pristina. Police arrested two suspects in flagrante delicto who are believed to have been involved in the sale and purchase of narcotics.
During these raids, authorities seized:
- 810.5 grams of heroin
- 137 grams of cocaine
- 9 grams of marijuana
- One digital scale
- Two vehicles
- Two mobile phones
- €895 and 50 Swiss francs in cash
The two suspects have been detained for 48 hours by order of the State Prosecutor.
Additional Arrests in Separate Operation
In a separate operational action, police also arrested three other individuals, also suspected of involvement in narcotics trafficking. During this operation, authorities seized:
- 12.1 grams of marijuana
- One scale
- Four mobile phones
- €190 in cash
After questioning, two of these suspects were remanded into custody, while one was released under regular procedure. The Kosovo Police stated that investigations are ongoing.
