Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly thanked U.S. President Donald Trump following a strong show of support from the American leader on his social media platform Truth Social.

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu expressed deep appreciation for Trump’s words, which he described as a powerful show of solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people.

“Thank you to my friend, President Donald Trump, for his heartfelt support for me and his great support for Israel and the Jewish people,” Netanyahu wrote.

He continued by acknowledging Trump’s call to cancel the “witch hunt” trial against him, as well as their joint efforts against Iran’s nuclear threat.

“Together, we will continue to work to defeat our common enemies, to free our prisoners, and to rapidly expand the circle of peace,” Netanyahu added.

The statement comes just hours before Netanyahu is due in court for a key hearing in his ongoing trial on charges of corruption, fraud, and breach of trust.

Earlier in the day, President Trump posted:

“Bibi and I have now walked through hell together… The trial of Bibi Netanyahu must be cancelled immediately or he must be pardoned – he is a great hero of his country.”

Trump went on to praise Netanyahu as “perhaps the greatest warrior in Israel’s history”, highlighting his commitment to national security and the fight against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

The mutual show of support between the two leaders underscores their enduring alliance, especially amid growing tensions in the Middle East and increasing legal and political challenges at home.
