Polish soldiers from NATO-led KFOR’s Regional Command-East (RC-E) have carried out a reconnaissance patrol along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) in northern Kosovo.

These patrols are conducted regularly and impartially, with the aim of maintaining a visible presence on the ground, enhancing situational awareness, and supporting overall stability in the area of responsibility of RC-E.

Such operations are essential to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all communities in the region.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – by contributing to a safe and secure environment and ensuring freedom of movement for all people and communities living in Kosovo, at all times and in an impartial manner.

KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security providers.
