Acting PM Kurti Reaffirms Kosovo’s Reliability as US Partner in Meeting with Senior State Department Official Hanrahan

Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, met with Brendan Hanrahan, a Senior Bureau Official for European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, today. The meeting, a working dinner held at the residence of the U.S. Ambassador, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and discussing key regional developments.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti conveyed the gratitude of the Kosovar people for the “continuous and critical support” of the United States. He emphasized that the U.S. is an “unwavering ally” and that the Republic of Kosovo “will always be a reliable partner”.

Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including Kosovo-U.S. bilateral relations, with a focus on investments, diplomacy, and defense. The talks also addressed Kosovo’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration and other political developments, notably relations with Serbia.

Prime Minister Kurti welcomed Mr. Hanrahan to Kosovo, emphasizing that the United States of America is an unwavering ally for our country and the Republic of Kosovo will always be a reliable partner. He also expressed his gratitude and that of the people of Kosovo for the continuous and critical support of the United States of America. During the dinner, bilateral relations between Kosovo and the United States of America were discussed, including in the fields of investment, diplomacy, and defense, as well as the progress of the Republic of Kosovo in its Euro-Atlantic integration. Prime Minister Kurti expressed the government’s will and readiness to further deepen and strengthen bilateral relations. Current political developments, regional cooperation, and relations with Serbia were also part of the discussion at the meeting,” the statement read.

Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, and Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rašić, were also present at the meeting.
