The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has announced the latest ruling by the Commercial Court, which has suspended the Energy Regulatory Office’s (ERO) decision requiring companies to enter the liberalized energy market. The ruling applies to five companies that filed individual lawsuits against this decision.

“As we have emphasized before, the current legislation does not allow for group or collective lawsuits; therefore, only individual claims are being processed and accepted by the court. These five companies have secured their legal rights through this mechanism,” the Chamber’s statement reads.

The Chamber of Commerce has called on ERO to annul its decision on the “forced transition to the liberalized energy market,” warning that failure to do so may harm competition, businesses, citizens, and the country’s economy.
