Pristina, July 12 – The Acting Chief State Prosecutor of Kosovo, Besim Kelmendi, received a delegation from the British Embassy in Prishtina, led by Alan Edwards, an expert on mentoring Joint Investigation Teams.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in an open and constructive dialogue, reviewing the progress of existing cooperation, acknowledging achievements to date, and discussing the challenges and opportunities for further deepening this collaboration.
Particular emphasis was placed on the support provided by the British Embassy in strengthening the institutional capacity of the State Prosecutor’s Office, especially through the development and mentorship of Joint Investigation Teams—an effective mechanism in combating organized crime and corruption.
Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi expressed his gratitude to the British representatives for their continued professional assistance to Kosovo’s justice institutions, especially the State Prosecutor’s Office, highlighting its vital role in advancing the rule of law.
