The trial session for the “Banjska” case, involving defendants Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović, was interrupted on July 18 due to the absence of a key prosecution witness, according to the presiding judge. The session will resume once the witness is made available to the court.

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo has filed indictments against 45 individuals for the September 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska, including high-profile figures such as Milan Radoičić, who is considered the ringleader of the group. The charges include terrorism, endangering Kosovo’s constitutional order and security, and armed efforts to separate the northern territory of Kosovo and annex it to Serbia.

Milan Radoičić is also under international arrest warrants, accused of involvement in the assassination of Oliver Ivanović, as well as witness intimidation. He is currently on the U.S. and U.K. sanctions lists for ties to organized crime and corruption.

To support its case, the prosecution has submitted 34 volumes of evidence, including video recordings, electronic data, documents from Luxembourg and Bosnia, and witness statements.

The Banjska attack has drawn strong international condemnation and is regarded as one of the most serious escalations of violence in northern Kosovo in recent years.
