A wildfire broke out early this morning in the Sotirani area of Dukat village, near Vlora.
According to reports from Tirana media, strong winds have rapidly spread the flames, seriously endangering Llogara National Park one of Albania’s most valuable natural assets.
Firefighting efforts were paused today and are expected to resume tomorrow. Authorities have requested aerial firefighting support and announced the possible involvement of armed forces to stop the fire’s advance.
