Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Israel will continue military operations against what it describes as Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, saying that “there is still work to be done.”
In a video statement, Netanyahu said the Israeli military had carried out strikes on Hezbollah positions in the Beaufort and Ali Taher areas, describing the operations as “another great victory” against the Lebanese armed group.
“We destroyed its main terrorist strongholds on the Beaufort Ridge and Ali Taher Ridge,” Netanyahu said, claiming that the targeted sites were part of Hezbollah’s military capabilities in southern Lebanon.
Netanyahu: “Our policy is clear”
Netanyahu said Israel does not intend to halt its operations in what he described as a “security zone” in southern Lebanon.
“Our policy is clear: We will continue to destroy terrorist infrastructure in the security zone in Lebanon,” he said.
“We will continue to eliminate every threat to Israel,” Netanyahu added.
His comments followed reports that Israeli forces had destroyed underground Hezbollah structures in the Ali Taher area, which Israel considers strategically important to the group’s military activities in southern Lebanon.
Warning of further strikes
Netanyahu also issued a direct warning to Israel’s adversaries, saying that any renewed attack against Israel would trigger an even stronger response.
“If you still haven’t learned your lesson and decide to attack us again, you will receive even heavier blows,” he said.
Concluding his message, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel’s military operations were not over.
“There is still work to be done and, God willing, we will finish it,” he said.
The remarks signal Israel’s intention to maintain military pressure on Hezbollah in southern Lebanon as tensions across the region remain high.
