Igor Popović, the assistant director of Serbia’s “Office for Kosovo,” has been ordered to 30 days of detention by the Basic Court of Pristina.
In response, Serb List claimed that the court’s decision was made based on orders from acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“Igor Popović was once again targeted by Kurti’s regime, a man who has always, and continues to, stand by his people—sharing difficult moments, pressures, and suffering with them, showing unconscious love and loyalty to the Serbian people in these parts,” the Serb List stated in a post.
The Serb List’s reaction appears to be an attempt to stir the reactions of the international community, refusing to acknowledge Kosovo’s independent judicial system and that the charges and detention are, in fact, based on evidence.
