In “Car Llazar” Square in North Mitrovica, a cultural event as part of the Jazz Festival was held this afternoon, reports RKS News.
The event started around 16:00 and proceeded without issues until the performance ended around 18:00.
However, as the organizers began packing up musical equipment, an incident occurred involving disruption of public order and peace.
Deputy Director of Kosovo Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, confirmed to Sinjali that two individuals were detained as suspects involved in the incident.
“Two people have been detained as suspects, and after interviews and consultation with the prosecutor, a decision will be made on how to proceed,” Elshani said.
He added that the situation in North Mitrovica is currently calm.
