The Greek Armed Forces, in coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and National Defense and Jordanian authorities, have successfully delivered 8.5 tons of food supplies to the Gaza Strip, a region severely damaged and on the brink of famine.
The humanitarian aid operation was carried out today with the involvement of two Greek Air Force transport aircraft — the C-130H and C-27J — along with personnel from the Special Warfare Command (SWCC).
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized Greece’s commitment to peace and humanitarian support in a Facebook post, stating:
“Greece will continue to take initiatives for the immediate cessation of armed conflict, the release of hostages, and the unobstructed flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza. It is the duty of all of us to immediately stop human suffering.”
The operation was organized in cooperation with European Union and Middle Eastern countries, aiming to support the essential needs of the Gaza population, who are enduring extreme hardship.
