The Serbian List has officially presented its mayoral candidates for all ten Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo, as well as for the Albanian-majority municipality of Obiliq. The announcement was made by the party’s leader, Zlatan Elek, ahead of the local elections scheduled for October 12.Key Candidate Nominations
Among the most notable candidates are several individuals who have previously held office:
- Milan Radojević, who led North Mitrovica before leaving his post in November 2022, is the party’s candidate for that city.
- Zoran Todić, a former mayor of Leposavić, is running to reclaim his position.
- Novak Živić, who currently leads the “Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Pristina” under the Serbian system, is the candidate for Gračanica.
The party also presented candidates for the following municipalities:
- Miloš Perović in Zubin Potok
- Dragiša Milović in Zvečan
- Saša Milošević in Novo Brdo
- Tanja Antić in Ranilug
- Dragan Petković in Partesh
- Božidar Dejanović in Kllokot
- Ivica Tanasijević in Štrpce
- Goran Dančetović in Obiliq
A Call for Unity
In total, the Serbian List has nominated 239 candidates for the upcoming elections. Besides the mayoral races, they will also compete for municipal council seats in nine other municipalities where Serbs are a minority, including Gjilan, Pejë, and Vushtrri. Party leader Zlatan Elek stressed the importance of unity, stating that Serbs must be “united, in agreement, and united, in order to win this political battle.”
