The letter from Melania Trump addressed to Vladimir Putin regarding the safety of children has been made public.

The First Lady of the United States had instructed her husband, President Donald Trump, to deliver the letter to the Russian president in Alaska on Friday.

Earlier reports suggested that the letter was personal and concerned the difficult situation of children in Ukraine and Russia, particularly those who had been abducted. Ukraine had previously claimed that Russia had taken tens of thousands of Ukrainian children from their families and moved them to Russian territory.

However, the letter, initially shared by Fox News and later by former Attorney General Pam Bondi, does not mention any specific allegations, nor does it refer to Ukraine.

Instead, the First Lady urges Putin to think of children and “an innocence that transcends geography, government, and ideology.”

She tells Putin that he alone can “restore the melodic laughter” of children caught in conflict.

“By protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone – you will serve humanity itself,” she wrote in the White House letter.
