The Independent Union of Radio Television of Kosovo (SPERTK) has submitted an official request to RTK management, the Government of Kosovo, and the Ministry of Finance regarding the transfer of employees’ salaries.

The request states that although the RTK budget decision was approved in principle last Friday by the executive, employees have still not received their salaries.

“As is known, last Friday the budget decision for RTK was approved in principle. However, as of today – the 19th day without salaries – all RTK employees continue to be without their monthly pay, which they have rightfully earned,” the request reads.

SPERTK also seeks clear information on the salary transfer process and its expected duration.

OFFICIAL REQUEST

Addressed to:

  • RTK Management
  • Government of the Republic of Kosovo
  • Ministry of Finance

Dear Sirs/Madams,

We are compelled to address you with this request regarding the salary transfer process for RTK employees.

As is known, last Friday the RTK budget was approved in principle. Nevertheless, as of today – the 19th day without salaries – all RTK employees remain without their monthly pay for the work they have completed.

We request clear information on the current status of the salary transfer process and the expected duration of this procedure.

We urge you to expedite this process, as the delay has severely affected RTK employees and the institution itself. Workers rightly expect payment for the work they have performed, and this situation is unacceptable.

Therefore, we expect a clear response and immediate distribution of salaries to RTK employees. Otherwise, we will be forced to resort to legally permitted measures under labor union law.

We remind you that the previously announced protest was canceled as a gesture of good faith and to demonstrate that we have no interest other than protecting RTK and its employees.

We expect a concrete response from all institutional actors no later than Friday.

If salaries are not distributed by Friday, legally permitted protests and boycott measures will commence on Monday at 09:30.

Respectfully,
SPERTK Executive Board
