An earlier interview with Glauk Konjufca has shed light on the early days of the Vetëvendosje Movement. He revealed that Albin Kurti and Liburn Aliu were the main founders, while others joined later.
Today, Liburn Aliu resigned from his position in the Government.
“Albin Kurti and Liburn Aliu founded Vetëvendosje, then the rest of us came,” Konjufca had said.
He also disclosed that Liburn Aliu had been Kurti’s prison mate and that Kurti consulted him first about the creation of the movement.
“Liburn was his prison friend and naturally he consulted him first,” said Konjufca.
Konjufca also recalled when he first met Albin Kurti: “It was 2003 or 2004 during a protest, with a donkey if you remember.”
According to him, Kurti was the main promoter of Vetëvendosje.
