Serbian opposition politician Čedomir Stojković has publicly urged Serbs in Kosovo not to support the Serbian List in the upcoming local elections scheduled for October 12.
According to Stojković, the Serbian List no longer represents the interests of Kosovo Serbs, but rather serves as a tool of Aleksandar Vučić’s regime, designed to extend Belgrade’s political control beyond Serbia’s borders.
“If Serbs in Kosovo vote for the Serbian List, they are choosing criminals and Vučić’s puppets. They must know that they will be abandoned by Serbia once the government changes. My message is clear: leave the Serbian List, let them sink with Vučić, and choose normal people who want normal relations with both Kosovo and Belgrade,” Stojković said in an interview with KosovaPress.
Stojković also announced that mass protests against Vučić’s rule will begin in Serbia this September, stressing that the current regime relies on fear, blackmail, and the use of hooligans and criminals paid to simulate support.
He emphasized that Western countries are deeply involved in the protests, as many Serbs want to live according to Western democratic standards and not “the Vučić way.”
According to him, Vučić—facing panic over losing power—is attempting to divert public attention by fueling ethnic tensions and presenting the arrest of former KLA (UÇK) fighters as a national threat, in order to rally Serbs against Albanians instead of his government.
