The second Hungarian company of the Kinetic Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN) has successfully completed its deployment in Kosovo as part of NATO-led KFOR’s peacekeeping mission.

The news was confirmed through an official statement by NATO’s mission in Kosovo, which highlighted the important role of this contingent in maintaining security and providing rapid response to any potential developments on the ground.

“KTRBN possesses key capabilities—including Crowd and Riot Control (CRC), convoy escorts, surveillance, reconnaissance, civilian assistance, and other infantry tasks—which enhance KFOR’s readiness and ability to respond quickly and effectively to relevant security developments,” KFOR’s statement read.

The announcement also emphasized that the Hungarian contingent has been a key contributor to KFOR’s mission in Kosovo since 1999, and that this latest deployment marks the 33rd rotation of Hungarian soldiers.

“This deployment marks the 33rd rotation of the Hungarian contingent. It is a clear demonstration of Hungary’s long-standing commitment to supporting KFOR,” the statement concluded.
