Kosovo’s Ambassador to Germany, Faruk Ajeti, met with German MP Johannes Volkmann.
Highlighting Volkmann as a friend of Kosovo, Ajeti emphasized that as one of the youngest members of the Bundestag, he will be an important voice for Kosovo in the “temple of German democracy.”
“It is a special pleasure to cooperate with German MPs like Johannes Volkmann, a friend of our country. As one of the youngest deputies in the Bundestag, he will be an important voice for Kosovo in the temple of German democracy. His first speech in the Bundestag (on June 27) in support of Kosovo is clear proof of the strong commitment and support he will continue to show for our country. That speech has undoubtedly enriched the historical mosaic of our bilateral relations,” Ajeti stated.
Ambassador Ajeti and MP Volkmann also discussed the excellent relations between the two countries, the strengthening of parliamentary diplomacy, and Kosovo’s transatlantic path.
“When speaking of our shared history, I was pleased to remind and thank him that it was precisely his grandfather, Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who enabled Kosovo’s Government-in-Exile at the time to operate on German territory. In our meeting today, we discussed the excellent bilateral relations between our two countries, the strengthening of parliamentary diplomacy, and the transatlantic path of the Republic of Kosovo,” Ajeti added.
