President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, took part in the working meeting with Western Balkans leaders, organized by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

While President Osmani shared only a photograph with the EU’s chief diplomat without providing further details about the meeting, the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, offered more insights.

On her Facebook profile, Siljanovska-Davkova posted a photo with the participants and commented:

“I participated in the working meeting for leaders from the Western Balkans, organized by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. I underlined the need to finally put an end to double standards, as they are neither a European way nor a European value, but rather anti-European behavior. I reminded that the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU is essential not only as an enlargement process but as a fundamental reintegration of the region into Europe, where we have always belonged historically and culturally. It is a cure for security dilemmas and new divisions that are already emerging. I believe that the EU, as in difficult times in the past, will demonstrate creativity and unity. It is important to perceive the Western Balkans as a whole, and if there is a gap in the pace between countries, it could cause further divisions instead of unity,” she wrote.
