Today, the Kosovo Police will organize a ceremony for the destruction of illegal small arms and light weapons. The event will be held at the facilities of Metal 05 SH.P.K., in the village of Prelez, along the Prishtina–Ferizaj highway.
The ceremony will be attended by the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, the UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo, Nuno Queirós, representatives of the EU Office and partner state embassies, as well as senior institutional officials.
This activity is organized within the framework of the Kosovo Safety and Security Program (KSSP), supported by UNDP and international partners, as well as the regional IPA project, which aims to combat the illegal possession and trafficking of small arms in the Western Balkans.
The event will begin at 09:30.
