The EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, joined the Diplomatic Observation Group for today’s local elections.
Orav praised his EU colleagues, as well as representatives from EU Member States and partner countries deployed across Kosovo, for their engagement in monitoring the process, IndeksOnline reports.
“Visits to polling centres in Pristina and North Mitrovica offered valuable insight into the process,” Orav stated.
Today, 38 municipalities across the Republic of Kosovo are holding elections that will determine local governments for the next four years.
More than 2 million citizens are eligible to vote in these elections.
