Shpejtim Bulliqi has won the mayoral race in Podujevë for the third time. In the October 12 elections, he received over 20,000 votes, or 53.42%.
However, Bulliqi appears to face some challenges regarding the numbers in the municipal assembly.
Vetëvendosje (VV) won 43.22% of the assembly vote, totaling 15,468 votes.
As a result, Bulliqi will need to form alliances with smaller parties in order to secure a majority in the Municipal Assembly.
