Kosovo’s acting government has approved the budgets for the municipalities of Prishtina, Gjilan, and Zubin Potok.

Acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati explained that the approval allows these municipalities to be included in the 2025 budget, helping them overcome financial difficulties. He noted that their budgets were not approved by September 30, 2024, and due to the inability to hold a parliamentary session amid elections, they could not be incorporated into the 2025 budget earlier.

Murati added that once approved by the Parliament, the budgets will allow these municipalities to participate fully in the 2025 budget from next month.

During the government meeting, the 2026 national budget was also approved, amounting to €4 billion.
