Nine Injured in Istog Traffic Accident — Two Transferred to QKUK, One in Critical Condition

A serious traffic accident occurred late Friday night in Vrella, Istog, involving four vehicles and resulting in nine people injured, health officials confirmed on Saturday.

According to the General Hospital of Peja, all nine individuals were initially admitted around 23:00, before two of them were transferred to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) in Pristina for specialized treatment.

“Nine people were admitted with injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Two patients have been transferred to QKUK, one of them in critical condition,” the hospital’s statement said.

The remaining two patients are still receiving medical care in Peja, while five others were treated and discharged.

Hospital officials added that medical teams responded immediately, providing emergency care and professional treatment to all the injured individuals.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, which reportedly involved multiple private vehicles.
