Students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade, currently in blockade, have announced a new action set for November 22 at 12 p.m., stirring public interest across social media. While the details remain deliberately vague, it is widely believed that this announcement signals the organization of a new gathering in continuation of their protest activities.
A short video, shared on the students’ social media channels, teases the upcoming event without revealing a location or specific agenda. It includes footage of the Serbian General Staff building, past student protests, and scenes of police violence against demonstrators. The clip ends with a stark message:
“One year. Zero accountable.”
The phrase refers to the one-year anniversary of the deadly incident in Novi Sad, where the collapse of a canopy near a student dorm resulted in injuries and sparked widespread discontent over issues of public safety and accountability in Serbia. Since then, students have actively mobilized, calling for justice and responsibility.
In their Instagram caption promoting the new action, the students wrote:
“See you on 22.11.2025. This gathering will not be a public event, it’s just a hangout. So even Vladimir Štimac can come.”
This remark alludes to the ban imposed by the Higher Court in Belgrade on former national basketball player Vladimir Štimac, restricting his participation in public gatherings. By framing the event as a non-public gathering, students humorously suggest that Štimac – often supportive of civic protests – could also attend.
Although no further information about the event has been officially disclosed, recent student actions have been marked by creativity, secrecy, and strong public support. With tensions rising over unresolved safety, political, and transparency issues, the November 22 gathering is expected to draw significant attention.
