Gërvalla travels to Rome to attend the First International Conference on Italophony

At the official invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy, Antonio Tajani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, has traveled to Rome, where she will represent Kosovo at the First International Conference on Italophony, scheduled to take place on 17–18 November 2025.

This conference the first of its kind is organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Dante Alighieri Society. It aims to promote the Italian language as a tool for communication and cultural cooperation among different peoples and countries.
The conference will focus on themes such as strengthening shared identity, intercultural dialogue, peace, economic development, and cultural diplomacy. Italophony will be presented as a platform for development and economic growth, while also enhancing relationships between civil society, institutions, and communities that speak Italian across the globe.

Minister Gërvalla’s participation in this initiative comes within the framework of the excellent cultural and friendly relations with Italy, as well as Kosovo’s ongoing commitment to fostering international dialogue. During her stay in Rome, she will highlight the role of the Albanian diaspora in Italy as an important cultural and linguistic bridge that continues to strengthen both bilateral and regional cooperation.
