Workers of the Kosovo Post have gone on strike since Monday. The strike began after their demands—such as salary increases, hazard pay, and adequate staffing—were not met, despite repeated requests to management.

Driton Gashi, along with 25 other employees from Post Office No. 6 in Prishtina, said they are determined to continue the strike until their demands are fulfilled.

“Since Monday, we have been on strike. We gave prior notice. Our demands include salary increases, hazard pay, and sufficient staffing, as we cannot cover the entire Prishtina region,” Gashi said.

He emphasized that since the strike began, work has come to a standstill, with no deliveries of documents, letters, or services being carried out—neither in the courts nor in other institutions.

Despite meetings with Post management, the workers have not received any confirmation that their requests will be addressed.

“Everything is paralyzed; there are no deliveries to courts or other institutions. We met with management, who told us to resume work while they look into our requests. But there has been no response, no date, no confirmation. We are determined to continue the strike until our demands are met,” he added.
