The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) has rejected the possibility of conducting voting outside diplomatic missions, overturning the previous decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) regarding the December 28 elections. This was confirmed to Klan Kosova.
The CEC decision had envisaged opening additional voting centers outside diplomatic missions, following a proposal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With PZAP’s decision, the process of voting abroad will now take place only within the official premises of diplomatic missions.
“The additional locations included 10 Voting Centers (Germany 5; Switzerland 3; United Kingdom 1; and USA 1), with a total of 43 polling stations and a maximum number of registered voters of 40,850. Overall, the total number of voting centers abroad approved by the CEC is 60, with a total of 109 polling stations,” the CEC had stated in its decision.
