Dragisha Milović has officially taken the oath as the new mayor of Zvecan Municipality. He stated that challenges lie ahead but emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security in the municipality.

“After three years, this day is solemn. The Assembly is receiving legitimate representatives. I take this opportunity to thank all our citizens who supported us. The period ahead will not be easy and will come with challenges. At the very least, we must maintain peace and security in the municipality. Every family living in Zvečan should feel safe,” Milović said after the swearing-in.

He further stressed that he will cooperate with all institutions in Pristina:

“I will also work with the representatives of missions such as KFOR, EULEX, OSCE, and all institutions in Pristina, including MAPL, and with the media. We must understand that local governance should focus on citizens. Everyone who comes here should be welcomed… for the good of our citizens,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Novak Zivić was also sworn in as the new mayor of Gračanica on Friday. Zivić, representing the Serb List, won the election without a runoff on October 12.

“An era together with all communities. Here, we demonstrate joint cooperation, and this is the only right path. Every decision will have authority, and I ask that, despite political differences, we maintain mutual respect. Let’s ensure active participation. From here, I send greetings to our citizens, we will listen to their voices, consider the media as an active partner, remain accessible, and be open to everyone to advance the Gračanica municipality forward,” Zivić stated.
