For nine consecutive days, residents of Prishtina were unable to use Urban Traffic buses due to the workers’ strike. This also affected passengers who had already paid for monthly tickets. However, the company has announced that all lost days will be compensated.
Urban Traffic officials have confirmed that for all paid monthly tickets, the days during which users could not access the transport service will be reimbursed.
The validity of the monthly ticket will be extended automatically after the stamping process. According to officials, to complete the extension, citizens must follow several steps.
“Visit any Urban Traffic kiosk and present your current monthly ticket. The kiosk employee will place the official extension stamp. After stamping, the lost days will be added automatically. It is worth noting that 50% of those who had monthly tickets have already been compensated,” said Qendrim Vitija, Acting CEO of Urban Traffic.
According to him, monthly ticket compensation can be completed at any of the three kiosks in the capital.
All citizens wishing to compensate their tickets may do so at one of the following locations:
- Near the old Prishtina Municipality building
- In the Kodra e Diellit neighborhood
- Near the underpass on Bill Clinton Boulevard
The Urban Traffic strike took place from November 24 to December 2, resulting in a total of nine lost days that will be compensated.
