Shaip Kamberi, the only Albanian member of the Serbian Parliament, once again raised concerns about the violations of the rights of Albanians in the Presheva Valley.
“Unfortunately, Albanians in Presheva, Bujanoc, and Medvegjë continue to face systematic discrimination, ranging from denial of proper representation in institutions, administrative passivity, lack of investments, non-recognition of diplomas, centralized policies, and ongoing pressure on civil, national, and socio-economic rights,” Kamberi wrote.
He further called for “reflection, but at the same time, renewed engagement to implement international human rights standards.”
“For us, this day remains a reminder of our daily commitment: to never give up on pursuing rights and equality, through democratic means and with our united voice,” Kamberi concluded on Human Rights Day.
