The European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Kosovo, Riho Terras, stated that the European Union must reconsider its approach and immediately lift the measures imposed on Kosovo more than two years ago.
During a meeting yesterday with President Vjosa Osmani, he emphasized that the normalization of relations and support for Kosovo’s democratic institutions require constructive engagement from the European Union, while the current measures, as he noted, “do not serve stability or progress.”
The meeting also addressed the latest political developments in the country and preparations for the general elections announced for December 28.
The EU imposed measures on Kosovo in June 2023 as a response to the escalation of tensions in the north.
