The research project “Memory Against Forgetting”, which addresses the experiences of those displaced from Kosovo in 1999, along with the opening of the installation “The Iron Corridor”, will take place on December 20 at 12:00 PM at Reporting House.

On Saturday, December 20, Shemsi Krasniqi, Professor of Sociology at the University of Prishtina, will present the results of his research and that of students from the Department of Sociology, who have interviewed over 300 former refugees forced to leave their homes during the 1999 exodus.

Krasniqi has been interviewing former refugees since 2009, and the findings from these surveys, conducted continuously over 15 years, will be part of a planned publication. The research is divided into several sections: the displacement itself, the experience of living as refugees in Macedonia, Albania, or elsewhere, and the return to Kosovo.

Following the discussion, participants are invited to the Reporting House Gallery to view the new installation “The Iron Corridor”, curated by Gazmend Ejupi.
