Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that negotiations with the United States are progressing in a constructive manner, while stressing that Russia continues to send only negative signals.

Referring to ongoing talks in Miami, Florida, Zelensky wrote on social media that “negotiations with the American side are constructive.” He confirmed on the X platform that additional meetings were scheduled during the day with the U.S. delegation and envoys of President Donald Trump.

According to Zelensky, work is continuing on documents related to ending the war, security guarantees, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Every point is being examined in detail, and discussions with the American side are constructive. This is important,” Zelensky emphasized.

Timeline and Decision-Making

Zelensky added that discussions also include a potential timeline for concrete decisions, noting that he expects further details from his representatives on the ground, including Rustem Umerov and Andriy Hnatov.

Criticism of Russia

At the same time, the Ukrainian president was critical of Russia, stating that only negative signals are coming from Moscow. He pointed to continued attacks along the front line, war crimes in border areas, and ongoing strikes on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

Zelensky reiterated that Russia’s actions undermine diplomatic efforts and stand in sharp contrast to what he described as constructive engagement with international partners.
