In addition to the 246 U.S.-made Javelin anti-tank systems, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) will also be equipped with another advanced anti-tank weapon from a powerful NATO member state.

Sources within the Ministry of Defense, cited by TV Dukagjini, have confirmed that the German-made Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank system will soon be delivered to Kosovo’s armed forces.

All procurement procedures with Germany have reportedly been finalized, and the first German anti-tank weapons are expected to arrive in Kosovo in January or February of the coming year.

While the exact number of units has not been disclosed, there is no doubt about their high level of effectiveness and strategic importance in modern military operations.

The Panzerfaust 3 is a man-portable anti-tank weapon that can be easily carried and operated by a trained soldier. It is activated by a single operator and is capable of destroying modern tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored combat vehicles, bunkers, fortifications, buildings, and military infrastructure within a fraction of a second.

The German anti-tank system, abbreviated as PZF, is 120 cm long and weighs approximately 13 kilograms. It can fire various types of ammunition depending on the target.

The projectile has a 110 mm caliber, launched from a 60 mm firing tube, highlighting its significant destructive power. Its initial projectile velocity is 165 meters per second.

The weapon is capable of penetrating up to 700 mm of armored vehicle protection. Against reinforced concrete bunkers and fortifications, it can penetrate up to 240 mm.

The Panzerfaust 3 can be operated by a single soldier to engage moving targets at distances of up to 300 meters, and static targets up to 400 meters. Certain versions, currently in service with countries such as Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, and others, have an effective range of up to 600 meters against moving targets.
