President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, visited Gjakova and Malisheva to observe firsthand the situation following recent floods.
In a Facebook post, she highlighted how such situations remind us of the importance of solidarity and cooperation when citizens face difficulties like these.
“Today we visited Gjakova and Malisheva to see firsthand the situation after the floods and to understand the needs of the citizens who were evacuated. We met with the mayors of these two municipalities, Ardian Gjini and Ekrem Kastrati, as well as some of the affected families, to ensure that no family is left without the necessary support.”
“These situations remind us how important solidarity and cooperation are when citizens face challenges like this. A special thanks goes to the emergency teams, both local and central, the Agency for Emergency Management, firefighters, and the police, who were at the forefront, protecting citizens’ lives and property. As always, the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) remains on full alert if needed. Together, we can overcome these challenges,” Osmani wrote.
