Police, rescue teams, and emergency services in Mitrovica rescued five families who had been trapped by flooding in the “2 Korriku” neighborhood of the city.
According to authorities, two families were rescued early this morning after remaining isolated due to rising floodwaters. Efforts are ongoing to rescue another family still affected by the floods.
During the night, two additional families were assisted and transported to a safe location.
The rescue operation carried out this morning was closely monitored by the Mayor of the municipality, Faton Peci.
