Former Serbian MP Dragan Šormaz has reacted to a recent Kosovo Police operation in the north of the country, where weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized twice within a single day in the municipality of Zubin Potok.

Šormaz stated that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is pursuing a dangerous policy toward the United States and NATO, which he says is directly harming the interests of Serbs in Kosovo.

According to Šormaz, Vučić’s actions are distancing Kosovo Serbs from institutional integration, weakening their political and civic position. He stressed that Serbs in Kosovo should not have voted for the Serb List and argued that citizens should have turned their backs on the regime in Belgrade.

Šormaz’s reaction follows an announcement by Kosovo Police, which confirmed that during routine operations in the northern region, officers received information about the presence of weapons and explosives in an abandoned house in the village of Jagnjenica, Zubin Potok.

During the search, police units seized an M48 rifle, 244 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, two empty magazines, and a quantity of explosives. Specialized Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units were also deployed to safely remove the explosive material.

Kosovo Police said that all actions were carried out in full coordination with the State Prosecutor, who ordered the initiation of a criminal case for “unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons.”

Authorities continue to investigate the case.
