The President of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Nexhmi Rexhepi, held a meeting with Matthias Conrad, Deputy Director of the Western Balkans Division at the German Federal Foreign Office, as well as Christian Böttcher, Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Kosovo.
According to an official statement, Rexhepi briefed the German delegation on the work of the Constitutional Court, highlighting key rulings and their impact on the development of democracy in Kosovo, as well as the Court’s strong cooperation with the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany.
During the meeting, Rexhepi expressed his gratitude for Germany’s continuous support, emphasizing that German assistance has been crucial since the early years of the Court’s establishment, particularly in strengthening the professional capacities of judicial staff.
On his part, Matthias Conrad praised Kosovo’s institutional progress over the years and reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to deepening institutional cooperation, with a special focus on the justice sector and the strengthening of the rule of law.
The meeting underscored Germany’s ongoing role as a key partner in supporting judicial independence and democratic institutions in Kosovo.
