The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) has announced the immediate withdrawal of two Aptamil infant formula products from the local market due to food safety concerns.

The affected products are:

  • Aptamil 1 Pronutra 800g Advanc
  • Aptamil Pre Profutura Duo Adva 800g

According to AUV, the decision follows an official alert received from the Republic of Albania through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), reference number 2026.0663. The alert relates to the presence of the toxic substance Cereulide in infant formula originating from Germany.

Details of the Recall

Albanian food safety authorities reported that the company “Rossmann & LALA SH.P.K.” exported Aptamil 1 Pronutra 800g Advanc, lot number 172911, with an expiry date of November 10, 2026, to Rossmann Kosova.

During inspections at Rossmann Kosova’s warehouse, inspectors were also informed that the company had begun withdrawing Aptamil Pre Profutura Duo Adva 800g, identified by article number 405663100.

Next Steps

AUV confirmed that, in cooperation with the distributing company, it is currently collecting and blocking all affected products. The agency stated that the destruction process will begin soon, in full compliance with Kosovo’s food safety legislation.

Consumers who have purchased these products are advised not to use them and to follow instructions issued by the distributor or relevant authorities.
