Igor Simić of the Serbian List has called the Central Election Commission’s (CEC) refusal to announce the final results for his political party illegal.

He described the refusal as politically motivated and warned that the Serbian List would appeal the decision.

“We have just been informed by the CEC in Pristina that its members have illegally refused to announce the final results regarding the votes won by the Serbian List in the extraordinary parliamentary elections held on December 28 last year. With this, as had already happened in previous electoral processes, the Albin Kurti regime is trying to make it impossible for Serbs to elect political representatives who will fight for the interests of the Serbian people,” Simić said, according to the Serbian-language media outlet Kossev.

On Saturday, the CEC announced the final results for all other parties but refused to do so for the Serbian List. The CEC divided the announcement into three separate votes, and in the case of the Serbian List, the announcement did not receive the necessary support.
