American soldiers from NATO’s KFOR Regional Command-East have recently carried out specialized Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) training aimed at enhancing capabilities to detect and track drones.

The training focused on the use of advanced technological systems, strengthening technical expertise in counter-drone operations while also improving coordination, teamwork, and operational adaptability, according to reports.

Through continuous exercises, KFOR aims to strengthen readiness and overall operational effectiveness in fulfilling its mandate to maintain a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Kosovo.

In an official statement, KFOR reaffirmed that it continues to implement its mission based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), ensuring security and freedom of movement in an impartial manner at all times.

The NATO-led mission also emphasized its close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), both of which play key roles in maintaining security and stability in Kosovo.
