End of the Operation in the Mat River: KSF Says Its Contingent Found the Body of the Young Man in Cooperation With Local Authorities

After 29 days since his disappearance, the body of 30-year-old Jurgen Karaj from the village of Fullqet in Klos has been found. The body was located about 30 kilometers away from the site of the accident. The Kosovo Security Force (KSF), which had been engaged in the search operation, also reacted to the development.

According to the KSF statement, the lifeless body was found by KSF teams following intensive engagement and close cooperation with Albanian authorities.

“The Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, in his personal name and on behalf of all KSF personnel, expresses his most sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the victim. The Commander of the KSF also thanks the engaged personnel for the dedication, professionalism, and discipline demonstrated during the fulfillment of this mission,” the statement said, among other things.

KSF Finds the Lifeless Body of the Young Man Missing in the Mat River, Albania, After a Ten-Day Search and Rescue Operation

At the request of the authorities of the Republic of Albania, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) deployed a specialized Search and Rescue contingent from the Civil Protection Regiment of the National Guard, which joined the operation in the Klos area to search for a person missing in the flow of the Mat River.

Following intensive engagement and close cooperation with Albanian authorities, the search and rescue teams managed to locate and recover the lifeless body of the missing person.

The Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, in his personal name and on behalf of all KSF personnel, expresses his most sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the victim. He also thanks the engaged personnel for the dedication, professionalism, and discipline shown during the execution of this mission.
