Kosovar judoka Distria Krasniqi has once again claimed the top spot in the world rankings, following a stellar performance at the Paris Grand Slam.
Krasniqi secured her fourth gold medal at the prestigious tournament, defeating Spain’s Ariane Toro Soler with an ippon, demonstrating her technical mastery and competitive dominance.
The latest rankings released by the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the European Judo Union (EJU) confirm Krasniqi as world number one in the -52 kg category, accumulating 6,510 points. She is closely followed by Marscha Ballhaus in second place and Uta Abe in third.
Krasniqi’s continued success underscores Kosovo’s growing presence on the international judo stage and cements her status as one of the sport’s elite athletes.
