The session for the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo and the formation of the Kurti 3 Government is expected to take place today, marking an important step in the political process following the recent elections.

Members of Parliament representing non-Serb minority communities have announced that they will support the Speaker of Parliament proposed by the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) and that they have secured the votes necessary for the formation of the Government.

They emphasized that their position is clear and based on respect for the decisions of the Constitutional Court, underlining the importance of the proper functioning of parliamentary institutions.

In addition to supporting the Speaker and the Government, non-Serb minority MPs stressed that their decisions will take into account consultations within their parliamentary groups and aim to ensure institutional stability, avoiding any political blockade during the constitution of the Assembly.

This session is considered decisive for launching the work of the new institutions and ensuring the normal functioning of both Parliament and the new Government.

MP Emilja Rexhepi stated that she will support the formation of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, including both the Parliament and the Kurti 3 Government.

She emphasized that she agrees with the candidate for Speaker proposed by LVV and that her vote will be in favor of the process.

“Yes. We agree on the formation of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, both for the Parliament and for the Kurti 3 Government,” she said.

MP Artan Asallani clarified his position regarding the vote for the Speaker proposed by the Vetëvendosje Movement and the process of constituting the Assembly of Kosovo.

He underlined that he will fully support the process in accordance with the decisions of the Constitutional Court.

“Our position is clear: we will vote for the Speaker of Parliament, as well as for all other processes related to the constitution of the Assembly, in line with the recent decisions of the Constitutional Court,” Asallani declared.

MP Erxhan Galushi also stated that he is prepared to support the formation of Kosovo’s institutions and that his vote will be in favor.

“We believe that both the Assembly and the Government will be formed. As an MP, I will vote in favor of forming the institutions. Following consultations within the group and in line with Mr. Konjufca’s statement, we will respect the decision of the Constitutional Court and make our decision tomorrow,” he said.
