President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has officially designated Albin Kurti, leader of Vetëvendosje, as the mandate holder to form the new Government of Kosovo, confirming that the decision was made in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo.
“Today, in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, I have appointed Prime Minister Albin Kurti as the person mandated to form the Government of the Republic of Kosovo,” Osmani wrote in an official statement.
Following the mandate, President Osmani congratulated Kurti and wished him success in leading the new executive, emphasizing that she expects the government’s work to be dedicated to serving the citizens of Kosovo.
“I wish you success in leading the new Government and in your work serving the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Best wishes!” Osmani added.
This step marks the formal beginning of the process to establish the Kurti 3 government, following the results of the December 28, 2025 elections and the recent constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.
