Lumir Abdixhiku, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on the second day of the European People’s Party (EPP) Congress in Valencia.
Abdixhiku took the opportunity to thank the Croatian government for its continued support for Kosovo, particularly for its contribution and willingness to facilitate the tripartite agreement between Kosovo, Croatia, and Albania in the field of defense.
“The Croatian Euro-Atlantic journey remains an exemplary model for every state in the Western Balkans,” Abdixhiku remarked.
Kosovo’s European Integration and Croatian Support
In his meeting, Abdixhiku also praised Croatia’s ongoing efforts in supporting Kosovo’s path toward European integration and highlighted the strong ties between the two nations. He further expressed Kosovo’s trust and reliance on Croatia as a crucial ally in the region.
The meeting also saw Abdixhiku engage in bilateral talks with Austria’s Federal Minister for Europe, Claudia Plakolm, and Sweden’s Minister for Europe, Jessica Rosencrantz.
