The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania has reacted to the ongoing excavations in Zubin Potok, where a suspected mass grave has been discovered, stating that Albania stands alongside Kosovo in efforts to uncover the fate of missing persons, establish justice, and preserve historical truth.
In its statement, the Albanian Ministry emphasized that for families who have been waiting for more than two decades to learn the fate of their loved ones, every identification represents a step toward dignity, truth, and justice.
Statement:
“The discovery of another mass grave in Kalludër, Kosovo, is a painful reminder that the wounds of the war in Kosovo remain open.
Every such discovery is not only a step toward identifying the victims, but also evidence that speaks for itself. The remains uncovered are a powerful reminder of the crimes committed and of the need for truth and responsibility to be acknowledged and justice to be served.
For families who have waited for more than two decades to learn the fate of their loved ones, every identification is a step toward dignity, truth, and justice.
Albania stands alongside Kosovo in efforts to uncover the fate of missing persons, establish justice, and preserve historical truth. Without truth, there can be no lasting reconciliation.”
