Lëvizja Vetëvendosje decided this Saturday during a meeting of its General Council that its leader, Albin Kurti, will once again be the party’s candidate for Prime Minister of Kosovo in the June 7 elections.

According to reports, the vote was unanimous, with no votes against and no abstentions.

Arbërie Nagavci confirmed that the General Council had officially decided for Kurti to be the party’s candidate for prime minister.

Meanwhile, the Chairwoman of the Women’s Forum of the party, Albulena Haxhiu, praised the party leader while presenting his nomination.

“I propose him because I know him closely. I say with full conviction that he has never viewed the position of prime minister as comfort or privilege. For him, the position has always been about helping citizens. For Albin Kurti, the state is measured by how it impacts the lives of its people. Beyond the most successful governance, under him the state is neither a shelter for the powerful nor a place for exploitation. He is unblackmailable in politics,” Haxhiu stated.

During his speech, Kurti listed what he considers to be the greatest achievements of his government during his time in office.
